Plan terms & FAQ

Can USDS Care auto renew?
No, but you can purchase it up to 3 years in a row.
Are replacements new?
Replacement units provided under USDS Care may be new or refurbished and will be professionally inspected and tested to ensure proper functionality. Cosmetic appearance may vary. USDS may substitute an equivalent model or equivalent-condition unit if the exact model is not available.
Do I have to return my device?
Yes. All claims require the affected device to be returned to USDS.
Is water damage covered?
Yes—if the device is recovered and returned.
Are Flyaways covered?
No. Lost or unrecovered devices are not covered.
Does coverage apply to the whole kit?
No, the coverage applies to the aircraft and primary control devices.
Is USDS Care insurance?
No. USDS Care is a direct protection plan backed by US Drone Supply — the same team that sold you the drone. There’s no insurance carrier, no adjuster, and no lengthy claims process.
How many claims can I make?
One replacement event per 12-month term, covering the entire kit — aircraft, remote, goggles, and bundled components. A small tier-based refresh fee applies at the time of claim.
How long does coverage last?
Each plan runs for a 12-month term and can auto-renew for up to 3 years so your protection never lapses between seasons.
Can I transfer or cancel my plan?
Coverage is non-transferable and, once active, non-cancelable and non-refundable. Plans are governed by California law.
What if my drone is worth more than $20,000?
Plans cover drones valued up to $20,000. If yours is above that — or it’s a Freefly — contact our team and we’ll help you find the right coverage.
