Accidental damage — crashes, drops, collisions, hard landings
Accidental water exposure — as long as the device is recovered and returned
Unexpected hardware failures — power loss, error codes, electronic or mechanical failure
Operational issues — problems that prevent normal use during standard operation
If a covered issue occurs, USDS will repair or replace the device at our discretion.
Includes one (1) replacement event per 12‑month coverage period
Replacement applies to the entire kit (aircraft, remote, goggles, bundled components)
A replacement issued for any component counts as the annual replacement event.

Lost, stolen, or unrecovered devices
Flyaways or unrecovered incidents of any kind
Damage when the device is not returned to USDS
Cosmetic damage that does not affect operation
Normal wear items (batteries, propellers, consumables)
Intentional misuse, abuse, or negligence
Unauthorized repairs or modifications
Issues caused by third‑party accessories
Incidents reported more than 10 days after occurrence
Devices without a valid serial number
Additional claims after the annual replacement is used

To file a claim, you’ll need:
Original USDS order number
Device serial number
Description of the incident or failure
Photos or video (if requested)

Devices with a valid order number and serial number on file
Coverage is non‑transferable and cannot be moved to another owner, account, or device.
When a product is sold as a kit, the entire kit counts as one covered device.
USDS Care is built for operators who take their work seriously—and expect the same from their support.
When something goes wrong, you won’t be routed through an insurance maze.

Does coverage apply to the whole kit?
Yes. The entire kit (aircraft + bundled components) is treated as one covered device.
How many replacements are included?
One replacement event per 12‑month coverage period.
Are flyaways covered?
No. Lost or unrecovered devices are not covered.
Is water damage covered?
Yes—if the device is recovered and returned.
Do I have to return my device?
Yes. All claims require the affected device to be returned to USDS.
Are replacements new?
Replacement units provided under USDS Care may be new or refurbished and will be professionally inspected and tested to ensure proper functionality. Cosmetic appearance may vary. USDS may substitute an equivalent model or equivalent-condition unit if the exact model is not available.
Is there a claim fee?
If you ever need to use your coverage, a small USDS Refresh Fee applies to help cover handling and service. The exact amount depends on your device and is always shown to you before any repair or replacement is done.

Does USDS Care auto‑renew?
Only if you opt in. Auto‑renew is optional up to 3 total years.
Can I transfer USDS Care if I sell my drone?
No. Coverage is non‑transferable.
