USDS Care – Terms & Conditions
Last updated: February 5, 2026
Summary (non-binding): USDS Care is a protection and service program provided by US Drone Supply (“USDS”). It covers eligible devices purchased from USDS for accidental damage and unexpected hardware failures, subject to these Terms. One refresh event is available per coverage year. A non-refundable USDS Refresh Fee applies per approved claim. USDS Care is not insurance.
This Summary is for convenience only. The full Terms below control.
1. Definitions
USDS Care means this protection and service program provided by USDS.
Covered Device means the eligible device or kit purchased from USDS and enrolled in USDS Care.
Kit means a set of components sold together (for example, aircraft + controller + goggles and/or other bundled components). A Kit is treated as one Covered Device.
Refresh Event means a single approved service event in which USDS, at its discretion, repairs or replaces the Covered Device. A Refresh Event may be triggered by failure/damage of any component within a Covered Device/Kit. A Refresh Event is limited to one per coverage year.
USDS Refresh Fee means the non-refundable fee due for an approved claim (per Refresh Event), disclosed at claim approval and determined by the original purchase price tier.
2. Program nature
USDS Care is not insurance and is not offered by an insurance company. USDS Care is a service program provided directly by USDS.
3. Eligibility
- USDS Care is available only for eligible products purchased directly from US Drone Supply.
- Coverage applies only to the original purchaser and the specific Covered Device identified by serial number(s).
- Covered Devices must have valid serial number(s). Devices/components without serial numbers are not eligible.
- USDS Care is non-transferable and may not be assigned or transferred to another person or device.
4. Coverage period
4.1 One-year coverage
Unless otherwise stated at purchase, USDS Care coverage lasts twelve (12) months (“Coverage Year”). Coverage begins on the later of (a) the USDS Care purchase date or (b) the date the Covered Device serial number(s) are submitted and verified by USDS.
4.2 Multi-year prepaid coverage (if offered)
If USDS offers a multi-year prepaid option (for example, a 2-year term), the coverage period is the term purchased. Refresh Events remain limited to one per Coverage Year (e.g., up to two total Refresh Events over a two-year prepaid term), subject to these Terms. Multi-year prepaid coverage does not automatically renew unless expressly stated at purchase.
5. Auto-renew (optional) and 3-year cap
Auto-renew is optional and applies only when explicitly selected by the customer (where offered). If auto-renew is enabled:
- Coverage renews annually at the end of each Coverage Year.
- The Refresh Event allowance resets at the start of each new Coverage Year.
-
Auto-renew is capped at a total of three (3) years of coverage for the same Covered Device, including the initial term. After three total years, USDS Care will not renew and coverage will end automatically unless USDS offers a new enrollment option.
Customers may cancel auto-renew prior to the renewal date through the method provided at the time of enrollment (for example, an account portal or by contacting support). Canceling auto-renew stops future renewals but does not provide a refund for the current coverage period.
6. What is covered
Subject to these Terms, USDS Care covers:
- Accidental damage (crashes, drops, collisions, hard landings).
- Accidental water exposure if the device is recovered and returned to USDS.
- Unexpected hardware failures that prevent normal operation (including error codes, power issues, or loss of normal function) during normal use.
For an approved claim, USDS will, at its discretion, repair the Covered Device or replace it with an equivalent unit.
7. Refresh Event limit
USDS Care includes one (1) Refresh Event per Coverage Year per Covered Device. Any repair or replacement issued for any component of a Covered Device/Kit counts as the Refresh Event for that Coverage Year.
8. What is not covered
- Loss, theft, or unrecovered devices.
- Flyaways or unrecovered incidents of any kind.
- Any claim where the affected device is not returned to USDS.
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect normal operation.
- Normal wear and tear and consumables (including batteries, propellers, cosmetic parts, and routine maintenance items).
- Damage caused by intentional misuse, abuse, negligence, or reckless operation.
- Unauthorized modifications, repairs, disassembly, or use of non-approved parts/accessories that cause or contribute to the issue.
- Issues caused primarily by third-party accessories or add-ons.
- Incidents reported more than ten (10) days after occurrence (or after the issue is discovered, for non-accidental failures).
- Devices/components without a verifiable serial number.
- Any additional claims after the Refresh Event for that Coverage Year has been used.
9. Claim reporting requirements
To submit a claim, the customer must submit a request through USDS’s designated claims process and provide:
- Original order number (or other proof of purchase from USDS).
- Covered Device serial number(s).
- A description of the incident or failure.
- Photos and/or video if requested by USDS.
Claims must be reported within ten (10) days of the incident or of discovering the failure. Failure to meet these requirements may result in claim denial.
10. Return and inspection requirement
All claims require the affected Covered Device to be returned to USDS for inspection. USDS will not ship a replacement before receiving and inspecting the affected device. USDS will determine eligibility and the appropriate remedy (repair or replacement) after inspection.
11. USDS Refresh Fees
A non-refundable USDS Refresh Fee applies per approved claim (per Refresh Event), whether the device is repaired or replaced.

11.1 Fee changes
USDS Refresh Fees and tier thresholds are subject to change. Any changes apply only to future coverage periods and will not affect an active coverage term already in effect. For renewals, the then-current fees and tiers will apply.
12. Replacement units and condition
Replacement units provided under USDS Care may be new or refurbished and will be professionally inspected and tested to ensure proper functionality. Cosmetic appearance may vary. USDS may substitute an equivalent model or equivalent-condition unit if the exact model is not available.
13. Misuse, fraud, and abuse
USDS reserves the right to deny coverage, deny a claim, or terminate USDS Care if fraud, abuse, or misrepresentation is suspected; if false or misleading information is provided; or if these Terms are violated. USDS Care is intended to cover accidental events and unexpected failures, not repeated or intentional damage.
14. Cancellation and refunds
USDS Care is non-cancelable and non-refundable once purchased. No prorated refunds will be issued for unused time. If a Refresh Event is used, the Refresh Event allowance for that Coverage Year is considered consumed.
15. Force majeure and external events
USDS is not responsible for failure or delay in performance under USDS Care due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, supply chain disruptions, shipping carrier delays, government actions or regulations, and regulatory or certification actions (including FCC or similar agencies), as well as manufacturer actions including firmware updates, software restrictions, feature disablement, or grounding of devices.
16. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
USDS does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, continued authorization, or compatibility of any device. USDS is not responsible for data loss, loss of use, loss of business, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. To the maximum extent permitted by law, USDS’s total liability under USDS Care is limited to the amount paid for USDS Care for the applicable coverage term.
17. Updates to these Terms
USDS may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms apply to new enrollments and future renewals after the effective date of the update. The version in effect at the start of a coverage term will govern that term.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
