The DJI Matrice 4 Obstacle Sensing Module adds rotating LiDAR and five-direction millimeter-wave radar to the Matrice 4 and Matrice 4D Series. Together they sense obstacles all around the aircraft out to 100 m, including power lines and cables as thin as 12 mm at speeds up to 15 m/s. Because LiDAR and radar don't rely on light, it keeps working at night, in fog and in low visibility, where vision sensors fall short.

What firmware do I need?
Update the aircraft to the latest firmware. The module updates with the aircraft, and you activate it online after installing it.
Why add it if the Matrice 4 has vision sensors?
Vision sensors need light and can miss thin wires. LiDAR and radar detect cables and obstacles at night and in fog, so automated routes can avoid them.
Does it work with DJI Dock 3?
Yes. It's built for dock-deployed Matrice 4D Series missions, and reflective stickers for the Dock are included.
