Battery

The FREEFLY Astro Max is designed for extended field operations with high-efficiency power management across both aircraft and controller.

The drone supports hot-swappable SL8 flight batteries, enabling rapid turnaround between missions without powering down the system. This allows operators to maintain continuous workflow in the field, especially during multi-flight operations.

On the ground side, the Pilot Pro Controller features a built-in battery system with external power input support, allowing hot-swapping capability for extended all-day use. The controller is optimized for long endurance, delivering up to ~5 hours of runtime depending on usage and screen brightness.

Transmission
