Astro Max Isolator
The Astro Max Isolator upgrade is optimized for payloads that use the Smart Dovetail on Astro Max.* The isolator reduces vibrations experienced by the payload from the aircraft for smooth footage and reduced component fatigue.
There are three options of dampers (sold individually), to accommodate a range of payload weights and flying conditions.
- 30A durometer dampers work well for most payloads under 1.0kg / 2.2lbs. This is the standard option that is optimized for Freefly Payloads (A7R IV, LR1, Wiris Pro, Ventus OGI).
- 50A dampers work well for payloads between 1.0kg / 2.2lbs and 2.0kg / 4.4lbs.
- 70A damper cartridges if more stiffness is needed for your application or for payloads up to 3.0kg / 6.6lbs.
For vertical payload clearance, extended landing gear (Astro Max Landing Gear or Sentera Extended Landing Gear) is required for Freefly payloads when mounted with the Astro Max Isolator.
*This isolator is only compatible with Astro Max, not the original Astro. If you aren't sure which you have, please contact Support and provide us with your serial number.
