The Zenmuse L3 pairs a 1535 nm LiDAR module with an integrated 4/3 CMOS RGB mapping camera, delivering detection range up to 2,000 m at 80% reflectivity and ±10 mm ranging accuracy. Selectable pulse frequencies (100–2,000 kHz) and up to 16 returns per pulse capture dense point clouds through vegetation and complex structures, while the 100 MP RGB camera adds true-color context to every scan.

The L3 has no internal battery of its own — it draws power directly from the DJI Matrice 400 aircraft, typically 64 W and up to 100 W under full LiDAR and RGB capture load. That keeps the gimbal payload lighter and lets the aircraft's own battery system manage runtime across a mission instead of adding a second power source to track.
